I tried to use the iPad with GarageBand as a sort of musical notepad end of 2011, beginning 2012. Today I was trying to get the iPad to work with some other gear (it never has yet) and found this recording. An ad-lib sort of songwriting..

This is not a written song, it was made up while testing an iPad recording setup. I think there was some snow or ice around and my velcro-fastened shoes with worn out soles were not very good. Some comment about dangerous shoes just sparked off a line in my mind. I don't quite get how I did the guitar, it's not my regular style and I can not just pick up a guitar and repeat this now. I can't actually work out what I was doing. The recording is really rough as the iPad put a mismatched metronome click into it (which I couldn't hear).
I'm wearing dangerous shoes
these ain't no safety boots
loose laces slippery soles
these ain't got no steel caps in their toes
these ain't seen no cobbler's last
they're just made of plastic vinyl cardboard rubber and glue
they're dangerous shoes
Got to wear a hard hat got to wear a yellow vest
Health and safety tells me got to do all the rest
I'm wearing dangerous shoes
These ain't no safety boots
Velcro fastners slip-on too
I'm wearing dangerous shoes
